Head Chef

We are seeking a fantastic head chef with a proven track record, who is committed to delivering sound operational performance and a memorable guest experience. Working with our Executive Chef, Herve Stouvenel, you will be responsible for the design and delivery of a range of dishes on our a la carte menus, as well as playing a pivotal role in the day to day running of our successful kitchen. As an award-winning pub, with excellent customer feedback, the successful candidate will be a confident, capable chef with a flair for creating delicious, seasonal dishes with a focus on local produce wherever possible.

As mentioned, the kitchen is led by Hervé, who advocates using only the finest quality local ingredients and having lived in Norfolk for more than ten years, has formed strong relationships with many local farms. Michelin trained, he blends modern and classic ideas; tweaking English favorites with French techniques that exude global influences from his experience cooking in Europe and the Caribbean.

What we’re looking for:

We require that you have a proven track record, bringing experience and maturity to this pivotal kitchen role.

You’ll have an excellent working knowledge of current health and safety legislation and will be fully informed of our obligations in terms of hygiene regulations and allergens in the kitchen.

You’ll have experience of creating exciting, seasonal dishes

You’ll have experience of managing chefs in a busy kitchen and can confidently run a busy service.

You’ll also be committed to working full time on a shift/rota basis as part of a team within the kitchen.
